Customer satisfaction is a very important part of SARO-Gem’s business philosophy. That’s how we got started and we back it up around the globe.
SARO-Gem watches are not currently offered in jewelry or retail stores. You haven’t seen them in advertisements and you haven’t read about them – yet they’ve successfully built and maintained a share of the Swiss timekeeping market for the past 25 years. "Why is that?" you ask.
The philosophy of Rolf von Burg, owner of SARO-Gem and creator of SARO-Gem watches asserts that he does not design and produce to be a watch brand amongst many but to be the brand that meets the needs and desires of the customer. Responding to customers around the globe, Rolf von Burg has developed what is today the most scratch resistant watch you can own.
Thomas Huggler, who manages the authorized US Sales Office for SARO-Gem Switzerland, met Rolf von Burg in 1985 when SARO had started out manufacturing the watches. Huggler then purchased a SARO Excellence Jubilee, which he still wears to this day. Ask him to show you that very watch, he says, and you’ll know why a SARO watch is so special.
Aside from the compliments for the styling, these watches are designed to be worn whenever and wherever one chooses, without the risk of unsightly wear and tear. The watches are designed to fit your wrist in style, Huggler explains, whether in a boardroom or in the gym.
As a satisfied owner for more than 20 years, and receiving frequent comments about the watch’s design, Huggler, after years of thinking about making the brand known abroad, is now pleased to see the US Company finally became a reality.
Sharing Rolf von Burg’s philosophy of offering the finest timepieces at affordable, direct-to-the-public pricing, SARO-Gem watches are not made available through Jewelry stores. Recognizing this as a disadvantage to prospective customers, the following assurance comes with every purchase:
- When we state limited edition, it is truly a limited production. Our Masterpiece Collection is hand assembled and a guaranteed issue of only 99 pieces worldwide, our other fine watches are limited to 999 pieces worldwide only.
- We hand assemble each and every watch that bears the SARO-Gem name. - If you like, you can see your watch being put together and tested in our atelier in Switzerland. Our signature dials, for example, have gold particles hand placed in the manufacturing process making each one unique.
- Our watches come with a satisfaction guarantee. We know you’ll love your new SARO-Gem watch, but if for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return the watch within 30 days for a full refund. Excluded from this refund policy are customized watches (engraved dials, engraved bracelets). Please let us know if we can be of assistance.
- Our watches are backed up with a factory 10-year warranty. We stand behind our claim, with pride in our products. The factory warranty covers the movement, the bracelet and the color integrity of the watch itself. We will be here for you long after you purchased your fine watch.
- There are brands available claiming to deliver what is stated in their catalog. Watch buying involves trust and we take it a step further. We have our watches independently certified by the International Gemological Institute, IGI, in New York. With your purchase you not only receive the warranty cards and diamond certificates but also a comprehensive test report listing in detail the very watch you have purchased. This report includes the serial number of the watch, and the individual watch links as well as characteristics of your timepiece. You can use this certificate for insurance purposes as well.
As the customer makes a selection from among the many fine brands of watches on the market today, we do the outmost to answer any questions you might have, doing so in a responsive, courteous manner.
